Artelibro, Bologna — Photographic archives of the superintendencies: history and preservation

At the 11th Artelibro Festival, 23 September 2011, the Emilia-Romagna Regional Directorate for Cultural and Landscape Heritage will present the Acts of the Venice Congress (2008). There will also be an exhibit of examples of archival photographs from a number of superintendencies, and participants are invited to a brief guided visit to the photographic archives of the Superintendency for Historic, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).

12th Annual Culture Week: ICCD Programme

After an initial run beginning March 15, the ICCD is scheduled to reopen the exhibit Postcards from Italy - Turin, Florence, Rome: Three capitals celebrate 150 years of Italy, from April 15 to 19. The exhibit is mounted at the Museum Archives of Historic Photography (MAFoS), and is accompanied by workshop “Caring for your memories”, dealing with the care and preservation of historic photos and photo equipment.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate General for National Promotion selected the ICCD exhibit as one of the events for celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Italian Unity, and is travelling the show to embassies throughout the world.
The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Cultural Heritage and Activities have produced a new edition of the catalogue to accompany the exhibit.
